Theo and Philo

Theo and Philo works with a cacao farming community in Davao, the Philippines. The farmers are paid fair wages with additional livelihood income, and their post-harvesting equipment is continuously improved to enable better production. The dignified employment Theo and Philo provides allow farmers to be trained and hired despite a lack of foundational skills or education. Beyond providing a safe space for learning, sharing, and respect, all direct employees are co-partners in the impact enterprise through a profit-sharing model. The farmers’ children can also attend school regularly through Theo and Philo’s scholarships and allowance for educational transport.
